Il metodo compare() della classe Java Long viene utilizzato per confrontare numericamente due oggetti lunghi.

Sintassi:

 public static int compare(long x, long y) 

Parametro:

Il metodo sopra è costituito da due parametri:

1. Il primo valore lungo che deve essere confrontato.
2. Il secondo valore lungo che deve essere confrontato.

Ritorno:

Il metodo sopra restituisce:

1. 0 se x==y.
2. Un valore inferiore a 0 se x
3. Un valore maggiore di 0 se x>y.
